During my 10th class, I struggled again with the forward and backward rolls — a total pain in the ass! Some other BJJ-specific core exercises, as well as push-ups, also gave me trouble. And I was thinking I was strong!
Every training session feels like I’m fighting two battles — one against my sparring partner, and the other against my own body. The second one is much tougher.
Yesterday, I rolled again — 4 or 5 rounds, each lasting 4 minutes — with much younger, and some of them much heavier, partners.
I still haven’t started doing extra mobility, strength, and stretching exercises between classes. I should, but honestly, I’m exhausted. My whole body is sore; it feels like it's been hit by a truck. After class, I wish I could dive into a barrel full of ibuprofen.
But no! I won’t surrender. I’ll keep going.
