Another class

Between the last two classes this week, I did some workouts: a series of pull-ups and core exercises. So I worked out three days in a row. After yesterday's class, I feel tired today, but I call it positive tiredness.

Yesterday our warm-up was a technique drill with a partner. We did some single-leg throws and the triangle choke from guard in different situations. We practiced situations where you managed to do it, and situations where the opponent stood up and tried to pull his arm out.

At the end, we did four 4-minute rounds of rolling, starting from guard. All my partners were younger and had at least as much experience as me. Two of them were heavier. The other two were a little lighter than me: one was 40 years younger and had an athletic build, and the other, probably also 20 years younger, was an experienced blue belt. My performance was so-so. I struggled most with the last one, who started BJJ a little before me but is 25 kg heavier. I couldn't handle his weight.

I got hit in my right quadriceps by some of them, which was quite painful after the cool-down, but that's part of the game. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's class. On Fridays, we have class with the advanced group.
