Even though I had a two-week break, I noticed some improvement last Friday. My panic reactions when I am underneath someone are much more under control. I don’t feel the same fear I did a few months ago. I know it may appear again from time to time, but it is much better now.
I also manage to make a sweep or escape more often. Even when it isn’t successful, I’m able to survive against blue or even purple belts without getting tapped too easily. Of course, sometimes it’s not much better than before the New Year, but overall, there is progress.
Slowly, my BJJ is starting to look a little bit like BJJ. Or at least that’s how it feels to me.
