One round doesn’t define the whole session

Since I’ve only been to five BJJ classes in the last month, last Friday wasn’t so bad.

I did six rounds of three minutes each with different partners, and overall, I should be satisfied. But in the last round, I failed. I had another slight panic reaction while I was underneath my opponent and struggling to breathe. I tapped immediately instead of trying to escape.

Up until that point, everything had gone well. I did well in the warm-up and in the technique drills, where we practiced sweeps from the guard position. It was only in the last round of free rolling that I fell short.

But that’s okay. I just need to keep working on it — and on my mobility, too.

Below is my new t-shirt! :)
